Length measuring wheel OKIII - 400
The measuring wheel OK - III is a device for measuring the lengths of flat or strip materials. The circumference of this wheel is 400 mm. The wheel can be with a white rubber cover or without a stainless steel cover with radling in the case of the OC type. It works in cooperation not only with the LUCA unit, LUCA 2 and LUCA T.
Wheels are supplied with accuracy:
100 mm (OKIII-400x/1z - 1 tooth per turn)
10 mm (OKIII-400x - 10 teeth per turn)
2 mm (OKIII-400x/50z - 50 teeth per turn)
1 mm (OKIII-400x/100z - 100 teeth per turn)

The number of impulses per 1 rotation of the wheel is 32, 64-8192, 40, 80, 100, 162, 200, 320, 400, 500, 800, 1000, 2000
Wheels with an accuracy of 100 - 2 mm are made with an optoelectric design of the sensor and their output is therefore NPN (sink). In the event that you need to connect the NPN wheel to a counter other than LUCA (NPN), e.g. to a regular PLC (PNP), you will need to use resistors for each of the channels (Pull up connection).
Wheels with a higher accuracy than 2 mm (1 mm, on request - to order) are already equipped with a magneto-electric sensor and can therefore be connected to both NPN (sink) and PNP (source) circuits without the need for further changes.

Measuring wheels OKIII-400, i.e. with a circumference of 400 mm, are produced not only with a basic coating of the wheel with white rubber, Type OC is available with a wheel made of stainless steel with a diagonal wheel (on request, a transverse wheel can also be made).
Sealable wheel with marked M, which can be used in a set as a specified, metrologically verifiable gauge, is offered as a separate product.
The wheel is housed in a pair of ball bearings. In the standard version, the axis of the wheel is attached to a hinged metal arm 160 mm long. An electronic evaluation circuit is built into the measuring wheel, which generates two phase-shifted sequences of pulses when the wheel rotates. From them, the measured distance and direction of rotation of the wheel can be evaluated. In the standard version, one pulse edge corresponds to 10 mm (wheel without resolution marking). Different designs can be supplied (see above).
